Becky Suter retired from the federal government with more than 30 years of service. She joined the DSI team as a Professional Services Provider in early 2015.
Becky Suter is a collaborative and outcome-oriented leader with 30 years of law enforcement expertise, as well as a broad base of quality and compliance experience – gained from fieldwork through executive leadership. Ms. Suter’s specialty lies in quickly developing a deep understanding of the situation, setting the direction for the team and executing to its conclusion.
Ms. Suter was appointed to the Senior Executive Service (SES) over the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) national criminal investigative program, where many of the most important environmental investigations in EPA’s history were investigated and successfully concluded under her leadership. She is a veteran of the US Coast Guard and was awarded the Bronze Medal for Commendable Service by the EPA and the Public Service Award by the FBI.
Ms. Suter served as a field agent, field supervisor, and headquarters supervisor to include holding the position of Director, EPA - Criminal Investigation Division (CID) for more than five years. She is the first and only woman to hold that position – a division comprised of special agents, criminal analysts, environmental specialists and support staff located in 43 offices across the United States. Ms. Suter has also held top-secret security clearances.
Becky Suter received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York. In addition, she completed the Senior Leadership Program at the Federal Executive Institute, the Breakthrough Intensive course and Executive Challenge course at the GAP International, and numerous courses on investigative techniques and supervision at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
